ABOUT ME
Originally from the United Kingdom, I now reside in Greece with my young family. I graduated with a BA (hons) in Fine Art from Manchester Metropolitan University in 2010. I spent the subsequent years working on my art, teaching workshops, organizing exhibitions in many different countries, and travelling the world by motorcycle. The latter of these trips saw me settling in Thessaloniki, Greece.

Whales English was an online, elite education company based in China. I taught two students in each class, with varying skill levels and ages, typically from 4-16 years of age. We taught Classic English Courses, focused on grammar, vocabulary and comprehension, and Classic Reading Courses where we studied literature.

Teaching English as a foreign language to children based in China, from the ages of 3-14. I taught classes of up to 6 children in online lessons focused on vocabulary building and sentence structures.

The program uses National Geographic science and social studies content and authentic literature to build content knowledge and develop English literacy through enquiry-based learning. Students work with the content to develop critical-thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills needed to succeed in their academic studies.
Reach Higher provides students with the skills and strategies to understand stories and literature, and to work with more complex texts that include facts and background knowledge in the subject areas of science and social studies.
Reach Higher teaches the language students need – vocabulary, phonics, reading, writing, and conversations – to work with authentic academic content in English.
